Franco Montanari's scholarly career has been devoted both to the main genres of Ancient Greek and Latin literature and to ancient scholarship, which he decisively helped establishing as an extremely important field of study. Volume II consists of 42 contributions to Homer's epics, Pindar, Aeschylus, Herodotus, Euripides, the Athenaion Politeia, Lucian, Nonnus, philosophical papyri, the reception of antiquity and portraits of contemporary scholars.
