Goodnough, Karen: Exploring Multiple Intelligences Theory

Since the publication of Frames of Mind: The Theory in Practice in 1983, multiple intelligences theory has been used by practitioners in a variety of ways to make teaching and learning more meaningful. This book reports on four teachers working collaboratively to understand the principles and tenets of the theory and how they may be applied to teaching. Through cases studies, the author examines how the teachers used the theory as a lens to guide their classroom decision-making and practice. This book would be useful for K-12 teachers and those who support teacher learning in developing an understanding of how multiple intelligences theory can be adopted to meet the needs of diverse learners in the regular classroom.
