Über den Autor Schüz, Mathias

Mathias Schüz studied physics, philosophy, and pedagogy at the University of Mainz in Germany. He earned his PhD discussing philosophical consequences of quantum. In his first book, Die Einheit des Wirklichen - Carl Friedrich v. Weizsäckers Denkweg (1986), Schüz also examined the concept of responsibility and ethics. His business career started at IBM. Together with insurance entrepreneur Rolf Gerling, he established the Gerling Academy for Risk Research in Zurich in 1990, which he co-headed until 2003. Since 2006, Schüz has been a professor at the ZHAW School of Management and Law in Winterthur, Switzerland. He is the author of numerous articles and books on responsibility and ethics in business.
