Dougal Dixon studied geology and paleogeography at the University of St Andrews. He is an award-winning author specialising in the earth sciences and evolution with many children's books and encyclopaedias to his name. He is an internationally recognized authority on dinosaurs and has worked as an editor, consultant and as a special advisor for programmes and motion pictures about dinosaurs in the United States, Great Britain and Japan. Dougal was one of the scientists featured on the Discovery Channel/BBC programme Natural History of an Alien, and he was also brought in as a consultant for the series The Future is Wild on the BBC, the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.Jean Claude is a British, self-taught illustrator. Jean's most at home with his drawing table and a cup of strong coffee, but also enjoys long walks with his dog, preparing elaborate meals and visiting the zoo for artistic inspiration.
