Mamtimin Ala is currently managing a project supporting the implementation of voice recognition of nationalities for the purposes of asylum seeker identification, implemented in Turkey. He is the former president of the Australian Uyghur Association and continues to support his community and raise awareness of the issues facing Uyghurs through arranging international conferences.
