Angie Branaes grew up in Norway, lives in England, and spends her summers in Italy. In Italy, she realised that speaking Italian like a local was essential for daily life -- from chatting with the neighbours, to maintaining the house, and shopping at the market. Disappointingly, she found language apps too touristy, and books too complex and irrelevant for everyday situations.This sparked Angie's mission to create practical language books focused on the vocabulary needed for real-life interactions.
